Post 9: Dear AP Psych Student...

Hey future AP Psych students!
You're in for a wild ride... full of vocab

- My advice for you is to DO THE VOCAB according to how Ms. Halfen structures the study plans and DO NOT to all of it the day before. I've been guilty of just procrastinating on doing it and leaving all of it to the last second, either the day before or till the weekend. Just don't do it. It will take up all your time and you most likely won't have time to do anything else the day you're planning on doing all of it. Also do the mindmaps for the extra 5 points for every test if you can. If you do the vocab, this shouldn't be that hard. And the 5 points will help you SO much, I cannot stress this enough.

- My favorite activity from this year was when we were learning about sensation and perception and we got to try out those fun glasses that distorted our perception! I also really enjoyed the Three Identical Strangers documentary, it was SO interesting and applied a lot of concepts that we had learned about or were learning about very well.

- Personally, I think the content digs weren't as helpful. Maybe instead of this, we should do a intro activity or an introduction lecture.

- I thought the lectures that Ms. Halfen gave were helpful and helped me retain a lot of info. We should have more of those!

Here's a link to the website I used all year to do the vocab. It's super helpful and explains the vocab terms very well and in simple terms. This will become your best friend :)
